The Work

Over the years, the work has taken for its subject the perception of reality and what  factors contribute to our sense of it. Themes included  the mechanics of the perceptual process (eye/brain), the state of consciousness, personal associations, structuralism, phenomenology, the process of memory and effect of culture.

This study of perception has most recently brought me to examine two ideas.  The  dynamic relationship between an object and the viewer, how the very act of viewing affects the object observed and the role of pattern in perception.  How does what we know affect what we see?
